Nigerian football star, Victor Osimhen didn’t make it to the top ten shortlist for the 2023 UEFA Men’s Player of the Year award.
Victor Osimhen was one of the hottest strikers in the world as he banged in goals to set individual records and helped his team to break age-long boundaries.
In the season (2022-2023) under review, the 24-year-old Victor Osimhen scored 26 goals and provided 5 assists in 32 league goals to help Napoli win the Scudetto for the first time in 33 years.

The former president is to receive his honour on Thursday, January 21, at the group’s annual dinner in Geneva. He is the first African leader to be so honoured by the revered group of diplomats.
The minister of state for health and social welfare, Tunji Alausa, has pleaded with foreign-trained medical doctors who were inducted on Thursday not to abandon the country for career opportunities abroad. Making this call at their induction ceremony on Thursday, Alausa assured them that the government is committed to creating a conducive environment for them to perform their duties, excel, and find fulfilment.
Naija News reports that Alausa, who was represented by his special adviser, Ismaila Adiatu, promised that infrastructure would be improved and expanded, adding that the working conditions of the health workers would be addressed as part of the government’s effort to deter them from emigrating to other countries.
Konga.com, Nigeria’s largest online mall, has been announced as the 12th most respected company in Nigeria. The award was presented to the company at the BusinessDay ‘Top 100 Most Respected Companies Award’ ceremony and recognized some of the most influential companies in Nigeria. To arrive at the 100 companies list, Businessday Research and Intelligence unit (BRIU) polled a total of 11,982 respondents across 12 states.
The achievement is a notable one for Konga, a Nigerian company just a little over two years old as most other companies on the top 12 list include some of the most renowned companies in Nigeria today including GTB, Nigerian Breweries and Dangote.
