Top aides to Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State have resigned their appointment with the state government. The three aides until their resignation were technical assistants to the governor – Nwigbo Ransomed, Amaechi Nwovu and Onweagu Chika.
The letters of resignation of the aides were dated March 16, March 10 and February 22, 2021, respectively.
The respective letters of resignation stated, “I, Onweagu Chika, most sincerely wish to appreciate you for your appointing me as a Technical Assistant on Water Resources.

The Caretaker Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has announced the death of its Treasurer, Adekunbi Banjoko. The party, in a statement issued by its Caretaker Publicity Secretary, Tunde Oladunjoye, and made available to newsmen in Abeokuta said that Banjoko died in the early hours of Monday.
Oladunjoye described the late treasurer as a devout Christian, seasoned politician and former Secretary to Sagamu Local Government.
“Until his death, he was also a member of Ogun Board of Public Health,” he said, adding that he served the party diligently, humbly and to the best of his ability.
Former Military Head of State General Abdulsalami Abubakar has been rushed out of the country after falling ill and reportedly suffering stroke in a part of his body. According to a family source, the former head of state was first flown out of the country three weeks ago to Dubai in the United Arab Emirate for the medical attention but could now have been admitted at a Specialist hospital in the United Kingdom.
Ahead of the 2023 general election, former President Goodluck Jonathan has sent an important message to presidential candidates of all political parties. In a statement shared on Twitter, Jonathan said the emergence of the flag bearers after submitting to a rigorous primary election demonstrate their belief and interest in the progress of the nation.
The former president urged the various party candidates to conduct their political campaigns in a manner devoid of resentment, divisiveness and treachery.
