A fuel tanker explosion occurred on Saturday evening on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway along the Otedola bridge. The explosion occurred inside the ditch when descending into Otedola Bridge near Otedola Estate on the outbound service lane of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. According to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the tanker fully loaded with 44,000 AGO was moving toward Berger along Lagos – Ibadan Expressway when a tyre of the tanker caught fire on the Otedola bridge outward Lagos and people around the area called the attention of the tanker driver to stop.
